Description

Main Description

The Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) is a tool used to determine return on investment of IT projects. It is a comparative assessment of all the anticipated project benefits and all the costs involved to introduce the project, perform it, and support the changes resulting from it.

Cost-benefit analysis assists with:

  • Deciding whether to undertake a project or deciding which of several projects to undertake.
  • Framing appropriate project, business or service objectives.
  • Developing appropriate before and after success measures.
  • Preparing estimates of the resources required to perform the project work.

The results of the CBA needs to be inputted into the PPM Tool on the Project Details page, along with uploading it to the PPM Tool on the Project Details or the References Tab.
